Welcome to the new school year! I am excited to work with your child and family this year in Second Grade!
Slaughter is an awesome place to be! I have been here going on 11 years, and have taught 3rd, 4th, and Kinder here! I want to reassure you, this campus is proud to have established teachers, working throughout the campus, creating a "village" to raise these future generations. I am very proud to be a part of this campus family!
My previous years as a teacher were spent in a small town west of Denton, TX- Ponder, TX, where I taught 5th grade 5 years. I also taught 1year in Hurst, TX, as a 4th grade teacher. All of my experiences have really been inspirational and taught me so much about the impact we can make in students' lives. I feel honored to say that even after 16 years, I love my career and can not imagine my life in any other way.
When I am not being "teacher", I love spending time with my family. My son, Noah, will be 6 in September, and he is attending Kindergarten here this school year. It is so awesome to see him daily!
My husband is an avid outdoorsman, and loves teaching Noah all about the trades and fun of that! We attend Hope Fellowship in Frisco, and love enjoying the fun Frisco offers. Hope Park is a favorite!
It is going to be a wonderful school year! Please know my goal is to meet your child where he/she is, then help him/her to SOAR!
I am always happy to meet to talk about your child, by phone, email or in person.
My conference period will be when the kids are in specials, 10:25-11:15, and although planning happens with my team on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we will work out a time to talk so that you will have my full attention.
I value your time, and again, am excited to work with you this year!
