I graduated from Schreiner University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in English while playing volleyball for Schreiner. I went on to earn a Master’s of Science degree in Sport Management and Behavior from The University of Oklahoma. I also completed a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington. I recently completed my Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A& M University – Commerce.

I began my teaching career in Casady School in Oklahoma City and Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School in Joplin, Missouri where I taught PK-12 Physical Education and coached volleyball, basketball, and track. I then moved to Denver, CO where I was the Associate Athletic Director at Kent Denver School. I taught at Frisco High School for ten years in the English Department while coaching volleyball and basketball. In 2012, I was hired in McKinney ISD as a Reading Specialist at McKinney High School. I moved to Dowell Middle School to teach 8th Grade English. I then transferred to Eddins Elementary as part of the 5th Grade Team.

I enjoy reading, studying and playing the piano and ukulele. My husband and our two boys enjoy spending time with our two chocolate labs, Behr and Penny. We also enjoy camping and taking trips to OU!
